    I'm currently a first-year Computer Engineering student at the University of 
    New Brunswick in my hometown of Fredericton.


Interests
    Music: I've been playing the drums since grade 5. I bought a new kit this fall. I'm not 
            presently in a band, although I'd love to be.  I jam with 2 guitarists when we 
            can get together, but one of them lives an hour's drive away, so only on 
            holidays.  We play mostly Iron Maiden and Metallica covers but we have a few
            originals too.  I played in the school band in elementary and junior high 
            school.  I can play jazz and blues and some other stuff but I love to play metal.
            My biggest influences are Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden)
            and Bill Ward (Black Sabbath).  As well as the aforementioned bands, I listen to
            Bruce Dickinson, Dream Theater, Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, and any metal that's good.

    Sports: I played all kinds of sports in elementary and junior high.  In high school,
              I played varsity basketball all 3 years.  We won the provincial championship
              in grades 10 and 12. (Don't ask about grade 11) I also ran track in grade 11. 
              (800m and 1500m)  This year I had the opportunity to red-shirt for the b-ball
              team here at UNB but decided not to.  I think I just needed a break from 
              practicing for like 3 hours a day.  So now I only play once or twice a week 
              (if I'm lucky).  I also love to run.  This fall I ran about 6 km, 3 or 4 times
              a week.  But it's too damn cold now so I play drums instead.
